Bruce Carlson

Bruce A. Carlson brings a distinguished background in science, corporate leadership, public service, and real estate to his work with Imagination Realty.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Bruce earned his BA from Cornell University and his PhD in Chemistry from Purdue University.

When Kathy and Bruce retired from their corporate roles and moved to Celebration, Kathy founded Imagination Realty in 2005. Having worked in corporate relocation and real estate in her former career, Kathy quickly became very successful and one of the top Realtors in the Celebration area.

Bruce later left his other roles and joined her, enjoying many wonderful years meeting new friends and neighbors and helping them move in, around, and out of the wonderful town of Celebration.

Kathy continues successfully as the Founder and Former Owner of Imagination Realty, now carrying on the tradition as a Broker Associate. Bruce continues as her teammate, soul mate, and Realtor.

E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co., Inc: 31 years. Bruce began as a Research Chemist and moved through a variety of assignments, including Product Manager, Plant Manager, Business Manager, Engineering Director, Business Director, Operations Director, and Operations Vice President. He retired as VP Operations, DuPont Performance Coatings.

Blue Sky Solar: CEO for 3 years.

Imagination Realty: Co-owner for 18 years and Realtor.

Bruce served on three Joint Venture Boards with DuPont, as well as the Blue Sky Solar Board and Imagination Realty Board.

Bruce served with the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserves and received an Honorable Discharge.

He was elected to and served on the Celebration Residential Owners Association Board, known as CROA. He also served on the Board of the Celebration Community Development District, known as CCDD.

He served on the Courtney Sanford/Cornell Rowing Association Board and as Treasurer, now Emeritus. He was Faculty Advisor and Interim Coach of the Purdue Rowing Team.

He has been active with Valencia College, serving on and chairing the District Board of Trustees, and now serves on the Valencia Foundation Board of Directors.

Wife: Kathy Schmidt Carlson.

Children: Brian Carlson and his wife, Jennifer Bosies Carlson; Bradley Carlson and his wife, Jennifer Young Carlson.

Grandchildren: David and Matthew, Sarah and Joseph Cloque, Lucy, and Jackson.
